The Electronics and Telecommunication Students Association(ETSA)-PCE organised an interactive event, 'ETSA Talks' on 23rd August, 2017 at Dr. KM Vasudevan Pillai Campus, New Panvel from 2.00 pm to 5.00 pm.
The event began on an auspicious note with the lamp lighting ceremony in the presence of honourable speakers Prof. Ankur Ganonkar, Ms. Mansi Thakkar, Mr. Victor Manickam, Prof. R.H Khade (HOD, Electronics department), Dr. Avinash Vaidya (HOD, Electronics and Telecommunication department), Ms. Apeksha Chavan (Faculty Head, ETSA) and all the respective faculties. The ETSA President, Vishwanath Pillai briefed everyone about ETSA's new start and the motives that it will be fulfilling. The whole event was anchored by Arpita Verma and Amit Kumar who presented the committee.
The first speaker of the event was Prof Ankur Ganonkar who has a great experience in the teaching field. He presented a lot many technicalities on the subject and made us aware about today's corporate scenario along with the opportunities that come forth us.
This was followed by the second speaker, Ms. Mansi Thakkar, a motivational speaker and Ex-Pillaite. She stressed on the importance of self-confidence and inspired the students to have faith in themselves. Ms. Mansi Thakkar made the session very interactive with live demos and real-life examples.
The final speaker of the event was Mr. Victor Manickam, the founder and chairman of Victor Manickam knowledge Group stressed on the need to enforce reforms in the education sector and improving the start-up scenario in India. The audience was thoroughly enthralled by his quirky sense of humour. He also advised against blindly adapting the West culture and encouraged everyone to focus on research, innovation and creation of ideas.
The informative sessions by the speakers left the audience entertained and gave them a way forward to improve their careers and life.
The event concluded with the felicitation ceremony, announcement of a new committee CIRKYTE for Log Ins alongside a vote of thanks presented by Joint Event head Shobna Bangera.
